Horse handling
Meeting the horse, preparing the horse for riding: the child learns how to prepare a horse, clean and saddle them. 30 min (includes 10 min of riding).
Carriage or wagon rides
We offer carriage rides for up to 3 people. We can take you to Lake Bohinj. You can also ride on a traditional farm wagon or “lojtrnik” for larger groups and experience a bit of the rustic farm spirit.
Sports Days & Outdoor School
Riding Icelandic horses at Ranč Mrcina can be an ideal opportunity for a school sports day. Due to the horses’ peacefulness, friendliness, and adaptability, students can very quickly (after an introductory session in the riding arena) go riding in nature, always accompanied and under the watchful eye of experienced guides.
Events
On summer evenings, we host Štala at Ranč Mrcina. In a relaxed and authentic setting, we welcome top Slovenian alpinists, travelers, excellent musicians, and theater performances.
